Frederick "Pappy" Krischon Sr.

Frederick “Pappy” Krischon Sr. (formerly of Glendale Heights & Glen Ellyn) passed away immediately on Sunday, May 22nd in a tragic car accident. Fred had just spent a beautiful weekend with his son Bob in one of his favorite places, Galena. Bob is currently undergoing treatment from numerous injuries incurred during the accident. Frederick is now at home in heaven with his dearest wife, Ann M.

He is the loving father of Frederick Jr. (Katrina nee: Sekowski), Randine (Dan) Courtney & Robert (Jill nee: Knoblock). Dear grandfather “papa” of Angela, Jessica (Scott) Burkoth, Benjamin (Meghan) Joseph & Gianna Krischon. Beloved great-grandfather “great-papa” of Maxwell, Henry, Nora & Greta Burkoth, Emily & Frank Krischon, uncle of many nieces & nephews and cousin to many.

He was preceded in death by his dearly departed parents, Frank & Elizabeth Krischon and his siblings Frank (Jeanette) Krischan, Minie (Bill) Schwartz, Elise (Casper) Werner, William Krischon & Steve (Ruth) Krischon.

Fred was proud to follow his brothers into the service and become a MP (Military Police) where he was honorably discharged. He loved to tell “one liners” and incredible stories. He was multi-talented, a devoted Christian man who dearly loved his family & friends. He loved to dance, sing, spend time at “the boat” and soak up all of life’s blessings.

Visitation for him will be Thursday, May 24th from 4-8 PM at Leonard Memorial Funeral Home, 565 Duane St. Glen Ellyn. Everyone meet Friday at St. Petronille Church, 420 Glenwood Ave. Glen Ellyn for 11 AM Mass, Interment to follow, St. Michael Cemetery, Wheaton, IL.
