Donald "Hack" Wilson

Donald “Hack” J. Wilson, Sr., 98 years old, was born February 22, 1919 and passed away July 9, 2017. Don was the son of Cecil Floyd and Elizabeth Catherine (Fitzpatrick) Wilson of Odell, Illinois. He was married for 75 years to Cleo Bernice (Mahannah) Wilson, his childhood sweetheart. They moved from central Illinois to Chicago and finally to Glen Ellyn in 1952; where they have since resided. That is also when Don and his family joined the First Congregational Church of Glen Ellyn. Together they raised three children followed by seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Don had a great 45 year career at NBC as an engineer. Don is survived by his wife Cleo; his children: Kathleen (Eugene) Nickelman, Donald Wilson, Jr., and Marilyn (Donald) Skogsberg; his grandchildren: Barbara (Ryan) Bell, James (April) Nickelman, Kristina (Jason) Jeunnette, Kimberly (Casey) Moore, Patrick (Lisa) Wilson, Laura (Andrew) Freeman, and Colleen (Zachary) Crandall; and his great grandchildren: Emily, Owen, and Jack Bell; Aubree Nickelman; Lincoln and Morgan Jeunnette; Annabella and Georgette Moore; Lillian, Elliot, and Benjamin Freeman; and Oliver Crandall. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his sister Vera Claudine (Wilson) Sigler. Services were private. Interment was also private at Forest Hill Cemetery in Glen Ellyn, IL.
