Scott M Mattson

Scott Mitchell Mattson, age 41, passed away on 12/18/2016 at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, IL. Scott was born in Ann Arbor, MI on 9/23/1975. He grew up in Moraga, CA and graduated from Campolindo HS in 1994. Scott was a gifted athlete and excelled at soccer, baseball and football before gravitating toward golf. He attended Arizona State University after high school. Scott enjoyed his career in the golf industry, both as a former PGA Apprentice and Instructor and Outside Operations Manager at Seven Bridges Golf Club in Woodridge, IL. Scott is survived by his parents John T. Mattson (Janet) of Moraga, CA and Ellen Simonini Logan of Lisle,IL. He is also survived by his sister Jessica Mattson Jordan (Christopher Jordan) and by his nephew Brian and niece Kathryn of Danville, CA. He has many Aunts, Uncles and cousins in the Chicago area as well as in Maryland, New York, Denver, Florida and North Carolina. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Leonard Memorial Funeral Home in Glen Ellyn, IL (630) 469-0032. Private family services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Options to consider that Scott would have appreciated: ASPCA, Illinois Junior Golf Association and The First Tee of Greater Chicago.
