Rosemary Frances Ryan

Frances Ryan, age 93 died peacefully in Glen Ellyn, Il and was preceded in death by her late husband, William C. Ryan and youngest son, Scott C. Ryan. Frances was born on July 13, 1924 and diedNovember 16, 2017. She is survived by her sister,Jayne Burks (Crawfordsville, IN). Loving mother of five children, Patrick Ryan (Margaret) West Chicago, IL, Bill Ryan (Jeannine) Boise, ID, Sue Hochreiter (Hans), Steamboat Springs, CO and Cynthia Ryan, Elmhurst, IL. Frances was grandmother to seven grandchildren, Carrie, Kate, Erin, Ryan, Sarah, Nick, Molly and great grandmother to Addison, Brady, Mikayla,Jocelyn and Hayley.

Frances was a long-time resident of Glen Ellyn since 1960 and was a wonderful homemaker, yet found time to participate and lead communitygroups over the years to include Tuesday Service League, Glen Ellyn
Newcomer’s Club, Welcome Wagon and Gena. She enjoyed playing bridgewith her friends, giving dinner parties, traveling, outdoor cafes and the music of Tony Bennett. She was very social and loved to laugh. She will be missed.

A memorial gathering will be held at Leonard Memorial Funeral Home, 565 Duane St in Glen Ellyn on Fri., Dec. 15 from 10:30am – time of service at 11am. Frances will then be interred with her husband at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
