Robert “Bob” Hendricks of Glen Ellyn passed away suddenly on May 28, 2017 in Burlington, WI.  He was the beloved husband of Kay for 53 years.  Together they raised 2 daughters, Beth (Paul) Murphy and Katy Hendricks.  He was the dear grandfather of Robbie, Megan and Ryan Murphy and the loving brother of Gary (Karen), Monica (Ken) Baumhardt, Melinda Hendricks, Tom (Kathy), Dan (Barb) and the late Melissa Netzel.  There will be a private family church service and burial.  A celebration of Bob’s life will be held on Wednesday, June 14th at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Oak Country Club in Glen Ellyn.  In lieu of flowers please make donations to Young Hearts 4 Life (http://www.yh4l.org/memorial-funds/robert-hendricks-memorial-fund/).

Bob earned his undergraduate business degree and MBA in Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  After college he worked at the Continental Bank in the Trust Department, eventually serving on the Stock Selection Committee, which was responsible for the bank’s $3 billion stock portfolio.  He left the bank to work for Callard Madden & Associates.  His passion for helping managers understand the stock market led him to create a new firm focused on corporate planning and equity portfolio consulting.  His firm evolved into HOLT Value Associates which consulted to hundreds of top global investment managers.  His innovative process, insights and ideas continue to guide investment managers to this day.

After his “retirement” Bob’s passion for mentoring others lead him to continue his financial consulting with clients he had worked with for over 40 years.  He went on to create Go Steady, LLC, making products for the physically challenged and helping those with work place injury.  Taking him back to his roots he built a real estate development through Front Edge.

Bob enjoyed his love of Glen Ellyn, IL; Burlington and Lake Geneva, WI and UW-Madison…Go BADGERS!
