Raymond J. Rooney

Raymond J. Rooney, age 92, WWII Vet, lifelong resident of Glen Ellyn passed away on May 28, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Louise. Survived by Paul (Judith) and Mark (Deborah). Dear grandfather of 11. Great grandfather of 6. Preceded in death by his parents, sister Ruth Rooney and daughter Marjorie. Fond brother of Willard (Jean) Rooney. Uncle of 6 nieces and nephews. Memorial Mass will take place on Saturday, June 10th, 10 AM at St. Petronille Catholic Church, 420 Glenwood Avenue, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137. Interment Tuesday, June 13th 1PM at Mount Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst, IL. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517.  Raymond was a prisoner of war for 8 months in Moosburg, Germany.
