Nelly Godoy Haque (nee:Gutierrez) passed away on September 14, 2016 in Glen Ellyn, IL. Loving wife to Riaz for 54 years. Loving Mother of Fareed Ul Haque. Dear grandmother of Erra Euphrates Sanderson-Haque, Charles Christopher Sanderson-Haque, Elihu Scott Conant-Haque and Brigitta Ilsa Mckeever. Beloved aunt of many nieces and nephews.Visitation will be held on  Wednesday September 21 from 4-8PM at Leonard Memorial Funeral Home, 565 Duane St., Glen Ellyn, IL 60137. Leaving from Funeral home at 9:30 for Funeral Mass on Thursday September 22 at 10 AM at St. Petronille Church, 420 Glenwood Ave, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137. Interment to follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Glen Ellyn, IL. In lieu of flowers donations to Poetry Center of Chicago http://www.poetrycenter.org. Nelly was a dress designer, poet, artist, vocalist and homemaker. Born in Santiago, Chile she emigrated to the United States in 1956, where she met and married Dr. Riaz Ul Haque.
