James R. Burdett

James R. Burdett age 82 a lifelong resident of Lombard passed away on October 13, 2016. He is the beloved husband of Marilyn for 57 years; loving father of Dan (Julie), Donna Burdett and the late Deborah Burdett- Dodd; dear grandfather of Michael, Connor, Jessie & Emma Burdett, Matthew Humphress, Shawn Anaya, Daniel (Tiffany) Dodd and Dennis Dodd; great-grandfather of Isabelle Dodd; devoted son of the late Paul E. (late Ruth W.); fond brother of the late Paul W. and special uncle of Kathleen (Eric ) Benson, Mary (John) Kulivas and Paul (Kim) Burdett. James was a longtime member of the 1st Church of Christ Science of Glen Ellyn, he graduated from Glenbard High School class of 51’, graduated from U of I and then went to work for the family business in the golf course industry. A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, October 29th at the Leonard Memorial Funeral Home, 565 Duane St. Glen Ellyn (630-469-0032) from 10 to 11 am then a celebration of life service will be held after.  In lieu of flowers please make donations to the 1st Church of Christ Science, 600 N.
