Cheryl L. (Feldman) Zavislak

Cheryl L. Zavislak nee: Feldman told her last inappropriate joke on Thursday, February 9, 2017 cozy in bed, tucked beneath one of her ten sherpa blankets.

Cheryl is survived by her proudest accomplishments: Kristin (Fiance, Don Provost), Alyssa, Jaclyn and Valerie, their father, John Zavislak and Australian Shepherd, Foster (her well-known favorite “kid”.)

Also her siblings Ross (Lisa Lyon) Feldman, cousins Russell (Cathie) Howard, Bruce (Bette Graves) Howard, Barbara (Dennis) Harris and Charlene (Larry) Balsamo. Nephews Curtis (Natasha) Feldman and Rick Feldman, and a ton of second and third cousins.

Preceded by her parents Harold and Lois, aunts and uncles Marion Callison, Eleanora (Cecil) Howard and Lawrence Feldman, cousin Melvin Howard.

Cheryl’s last requests were for Roger Federer to win a Grand Slam, the Chicago Cubs to repeat, for someone to finally cure cancer and of course, world peace.

Her regrets were minimal but they included, drinking too much boxed wine on the porch in the summer of 2009 and dying her hair blonde that one time.

Cheryl was a proud mother, avid tennis fan, lover of all holidays and probably the most punctual person you ever met. She was known for attending every one of her daughters’ tennis matches, no matter how far. She also once set the world record for longest phone conversation without letting the other person chime in.

Her most prominent advice was, “learn from your mistakes” and “be nice to your family because they’ll be writing your obituary one day.”

Cheryl was loved by many and envied by a few of her co-workers for her skill at Medical Transcription and good looks.

Memorial Visitation will begin on Monday, February 13, 2017 at 4:00 PM until 7:30 PM with a Memorial Service to begin at 7:30 PM at Leonard Memorial Home, 565 Duane St.,Glen Ellyn, IL. Don't be late!
