Charles E. Cilley Sr.

Charles E. Cilley of Carol Stream, IL passed away on August 9, 2016. Married to Marjorie (Johnson) for 65 years. Loving father of Ruth Reynolds, Paula (Michael) Humbach, Donna (Vic) Dietz, Ed (Katherine) Cilley. G’pa of 11 grandchildren. Loving Great-Grandpa of 7 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his brothers Herbert and Richard Cilley and sons-in-law Alexander Reynolds, Jr. and Dennis Larson, Sr. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 14, 2016 from 3:00 – 7:00 pm at Leonard Memorial Home, 565 Duane St., Glen Ellyn, IL. A celebration of life service will be on Monday, August 15, 2016 at 11:00 am in the Wesley Tabernacle at the Des Plaines Methodist Campground, 1900 E. Algonquin Road, Des Plaines, IL. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, donations to Jacob’s Journey House, 726 E. University Dr, Mesa, AZ 85203. Charlie was a chemist who worked for Hercules Powder Co. and Masonite, Corp. He was the owner of CARE Realtors. Charlie’s passion was helping people in need and telling others about his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He created P&C (Peace & Comfort) Ministries, was involved with Project Understanding, devoted many hours to a prayer ministry at Jacob’s Journey House in Mesa, Arizona and the Phoenix Dream Center. He also ministered to the men at Lewis Prison in Arizona.  He was the author of a book about the Holy Spirit, Who Needs a Comforter. For funeral information please call 630-469-0032.
