Adam Schowalter, age 32, of Wheaton passed away peacefully on June 3rd surrounded by his loved ones. Cherished and beloved husband of Jenna nee: Grigalauski; loving son of Richard and Beth nee: Trost; special brother of David; dear brother-in-law of Danielle; caring uncle of Abigail; treasured son-in-law of Charles (Debra) Grigalauski, and admired brother-in-law of Patrick Grigalauski. Adam graduated from Glenbard West, class of 2003, and attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He earned a degree in Food Science with a minor in Chemistry. He was proud to be employed by FONA International and achieved the title of Apprentice Flavorist. He most notably created flavors for savory products, snacks, and cereal. Adam was a devoted friend who embraced a love of life and the world around him. He was an outdoor enthusiast: enjoying hiking, camping, biking, hunting, and golf. Adam was a phenomenal cook, always challenging himself with making complex recipes and testing out new culinary techniques. Please include Adam’s name with your gift. A memorial gathering will be held Friday June 16th from 3-8 PM at Leonard Memorial Funeral Home, 565 Duane St. Glen Ellyn (630-469-0032). A service honoring Adam will be held Saturday June 17th at First Congregational Church, 535 Forest Ave. Glen Ellyn at 11 AM.
