Muriel E. Lewis of Glen Ellyn Muriel E. Lewis, 89, passed away Friday, Jan. 11, 2013. She was the beloved wife of Edward for 65 years; loving mother of Carol (Bill) Scott, Claude (Cindy) and Dori (Larry) Mathe; dear grandmother of seven; fond sister of Walter "Bud" Kurtz and John "Jack" Kurtz; and the aunt of many nieces and nephews. Muriel was a active member of Eastern Star, P.E.O. and the 1st United Methodist Church of Glen Ellyn. She was a gifted artist who enjoyed painting and sewing. She was also an avid bridge player. Most importantly she was a great mother and grandmother. Visitation will be Monday, Jan. 14, from 4 to 8 p.m., with a service at 7 p.m. at Leonard Memorial Home, 565 Duane St., Glen Ellyn. Burial will be Tuesday, at 11 a.m. at Acacia Park Cemetery, 7800 W. Irving Park Road, Chicago. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society , P.O.
