Ruth S. Wightman age 99 currently of Glen Ellyn since 1958 and formerly of Park Ridge. Beloved wife of the late Andrew M. for 41 years; loving mother of Mary (G. Thomas) McKane and Nancy Wightman (Allan Hudson); Dear grandmother of Katie (Jim) Kaspar, Mark (Kelly) McKane and Julie (Eric) Horne; Great grandmother of Jack, Kevin and Grace Kaspar, Michael, Luke and Matthew McKane and Laura and Bridget Horne; Fond sister of the late Robert “Bud” Scheel and the late Mary (late Herb) Raffel. Ruth loved being a mother and a grandmother. She was a lifelong learner who enjoyed reading, playing bridge, traveling and knitting. Visitation will be Friday, November 30th from 8:30 am to 10:30 am at the Leonard Memorial Home, 565 Duane St. Glen Ellyn to St. James the Apostle Church, 480 S. Park Boulevard, Glen Ellyn for 11 am Mass. Interment will be private.
